There is a 12km local walk, starting from the Lake in La Doree, which is about 3km from our Gite, along the D102 road.

In La Doree, go directly across the crossroads and park on the left, by the lake.

Super short walk

For a delightful but very short walk, just circumnavigate the lake. It’s very peaceful but sometimes occupied by anglers.

Slightly longer ramble

“For the longer route, turn left on the dirt road beside the old mill, towards L’Angotiere and Bas-Valandre. After 200 metres, turn left onto a sunken path to La Barbotiere and La Fourmandais. Cross the D102 towards La Piffetiere, right to Quesle, right again on the D515 to La Longuerie and left, along the farm track beside the stream. There is a small path on the left at Waist-Ferriere along the fenceline. Finally, a short stretch of paved road and a dirt road reaches La Doree.”
