Before we arrived, there was a hobby room with “junk” storage above. It was only partially wired, had no plumbing and the ceilings and upper floor were unsafe in parts. Making the Gite into a functioning space amounted to a partial rebuild. We ripped most of it out and replaced with stronger wall supports, new flooring, adding new wiring and plumbing and forming a new bathroom area upstairs. It was arduous but made orderly by our great workforce. The wiring situation became something of a saga but eventually was finalised and made safe by a second electrician. Finally, we have a modern, safe, comfy and well-equipped Gite, ready for our guests to enjoy.
